Michael O. Anderson, 74, of Worcester passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 1st. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Mary A. (Foley) Anderson; a son, Eric M. Anderson and his wife Ellen of East Brookfield; a daughter, Nicole D. Anderson and her partner Jane Sargentelli of Worcester; three brothers, Philip Anderson of Auburn, Stephen Anderson of Leominster, and Matthew Anderson of Webster; four grandchildren, Emily, Zoe, Zachary, and Willow Anderson, all of East Brookfield; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, the son of Michael Oren and Claire (Foster) Anderson and graduated from South High School. Mr. Anderson worked for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette for 40 years, retiring as a Production Manager in 2004. He was a United States Air Force veteran and served in the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening and cutting wood. Mike was an avid reader and a handy-man. He attended Our Lady of the Angels Church. His funeral is Friday, May 6th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Calling hours are Thursday, May 5th from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.

Loving Husband, Dad, and Papa Age 95. Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2016. Survived by loving wife of 70 years, Lorraine; children, Dennis (Pattie), Shari (Jim) and Debra (Dan); grandchildren, Brian, Martha, Dane, Anne, and Callie; 9 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law LaVerne (Marv); and nieces and nephews. Proud WWII Vet, served in the Navy from ’42 – ’45 as Gunners Mate 2nd Class. He loved his job at the Standard Conveyor Co working over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and walking. Funeral service 11 AM, Monday, May 2nd at ST. MARK’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2499 N. Helen St. (Door 7W), North St. Paul, MN, with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Howe (nee Bottolfson), Helen M. Age 88, of Maplewood Formerly of Star Prairie, WI Born on June 27,1927 in Star Prairie, WI. She was the third of nine children born to Arnold and Lillian Bottolfson. She grew up in Star Prairie attending the school there for eight years before graduating from New Richmond High School in 1945.Helen was honored to be chosen homecoming queen in 1944. She married Otis Howe of Star Prairie in 1946. They had four children while they lived in Star Prairie and two more after they moved to Maplewood, MN in 1956. She was a stay-at-home mom until 1967 when she went to work outside the home and worked full time until retiring at age 79 in 2006. Helen will be remembered for many good reasons including her wit, wisdom, and work ethic. She was an excellent cook and for about 30 consecutive years prepared the Thanksgiving feast for up to 35 people. She was a very good singer and loved to worship the Lord through song. She loved baseball and has her name etched in limestone at Target Field. Helen is preceded in death by husband Otis; infant son, James R.; and siblings , Lois, Fern, James, Donna, Stuart, Darlene, Roger and Jerry. She is survived by children, Bruce (Suzanne), Brent (Mary), Randy (Mona), Julie (Dave) Wirth, and Russ (Lynn); 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relative and friends. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, May 3, with visitation two hours prior at Bethany Lutheran Church, 415 Bridge Ave Star Prairie, WI 54026. Interment at Oakland Cemetery.
