Jack Lighthall at age 87 died on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Oak Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Madison, WI where he resided for five years after losing a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jack was born in Clinton, IL on February 12, 1929, and was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Ada Lighthall. He resided most of his life raising his family in a southern suburb of Chicago during which time he enjoyed a long successful career with the railroad. In 2006 he relocated to Waunakee, WI to be closer to his family. Jack was a loving and devoted husband to his late wife Rosemary of 57 years; a loving and caring father to his daughters, Milissa (Steve) Statz and Maria Falkner; and an adoring grandfather to his three beautiful grandchildren Lauren and Matthias (Matt) Statz and Delaney Falkner. Jack was deeply loved and touched the hearts of many with his good-nature, love and kindness and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 5763 County Road Q in Waunakee, WI. A reception will immediately follow the service.
