Madison: Toseff, Michael (Mick) G. age 70, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, February 20, 2017 Many people, theatre, church, school and community organizations benefitted from Mick’s artistic talents and willingness to share them. He had the ability to transform his creative thoughts and the vision of others into amazing physical art. Mick was also an inventor of odd but useful creations – have you ever heard of a “butt sled”?! Running a house painting business was also a source of great pride for many years of his life. He was an Army veteran and served in Germany where he was trained as a cook. He then cooked at various Madison restaurants and cut meat for many years at Neesvig’s using these skills. He joined Meriter food service where his favorite aspect was visiting with the patients while delivering their meals. He was a longtime grateful member of the Alano East clubhouse where his hard work and creative talents were utilized and valued as well. Mick is survived by his former wife and best friend Lynne; two children, Anastasia (Tom) Doherty and Kendra (Erik Minter) Toseff both of Madison; Grandchildren Lucille and Hazel Doherty, Mckenzie and Ethan Minter; siblings Greg Toseff, Pam (John) Curning, Jeff (Sally) Toseff; and many extended family and friends near and far. He had a special bond with nature and shared that love with his family and friends frequently, therefore per Mick’s wishes; there will be an outdoor Celebration of Life on June 24th at Goodland Park from 1-5pm with food being served. All who knew him are welcome. Please bring stories to share.
